Featuring built-in NTSC, ATSC, and DIRECTV reception to ensure ready availability of high-definition TV programming throughout the country, the Toshiba DST3000 is Toshiba's contribution to the current digital television revolution. The DST3000 with ColorStream HD high-resolution component video outputs sends 1080i HDTV signals to an HDTV-Compatible TV or standard 480i to a conventional analog TV. This makes it possible for analog sets to also receive and decode digital signals, ensuring future compatibility with all digital TV formats. An Advanced Program Guide (APG) is included with the DST3000, providing information on both satellite and nonsatellite channels, as well as a special function that allows subscribers to a caller ID information service to have this information displayed onscreen. An optional satellite dish makes it possible for viewers to receive both standard and high-definition channels.
